Nylon Versus Cotton U.S. Flags
Many customers contact us wanting to know the difference between nylon and cotton U.S. flags for exterior use. The right option for you depends on your preference.

Finding the Right Nylon Outdoor Flag Size
If you're unsure of the size of flag you need, a basic rule of thumb is to measure the length of your in-ground flagpole. Once you know the length, you should buy a flag with a length that's between 1/4 and 1/3 of that height.
For instance, if your in-ground flagpole measures 48 feet, your flag length should be between 12 feet and 16 feet. You can attach your flag via ties or using the two grommets on the flag's white header.
